Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mika Halvari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rick Smash!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Halvari pinned against the cage. Halvari gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smash shoots in and drives through. Halvari sprawls well.
Halvari misses with a looping right.
Smash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mika Halvari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Smash.

Smash takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halvari connects with a nice short shot to Smash's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Halvari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smash swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smash is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Halvari's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Halvari lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Halvari looks to land a left hand but Smash moved out of range nicely.

Halvari closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smash to the mat! Smash manages to get full guard.

Halvari might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Smash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Halvari is aware though and is defending well.

Smash jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Halvari manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Halvari has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smash avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Halvari, as that shot connected.

and Halvari makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Smash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Smash shoots in looking for a takedown but Halvari manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smash's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halvari, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
