These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almighty is looking to clinch.
Almighty throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rickarderson.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Almighty has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rickarderson.

Rickarderson connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Almighty to the floor! Rickarderson dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Bruce Almighty has been cut.
We've been hearing that Rickarderson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rickarderson is keen to just control but Almighty is a slippery customer.

Almighty has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Rickarderson escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Rickarderson!
Almighty is pushing Rickarderson's head away, looking to escape. Rickarderson manages to hold on to the position though.

Rickarderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rickarderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Almighty to see if he's OK.

Rickarderson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Almighty down.
