The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stocky paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Sammet counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sammet is looking to take a break and control but Stocky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stocky takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
