Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kabuto Wakizashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kabuto Wakizashi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chuck Norris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kabuto Wakizashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Norris there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Norris connects with a crisp jab.
A big left from Wakizashi misses.
A jab from Wakizashi finds it's way through Norris's defenses.
Norris attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wakizashi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wakizashi cracks Norris with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Norris misses with a straight left.
Wakizashi cracks Norris with a good jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris throws a head kick that misses.
Norris misses with a hook.
Norris fails with the takedown.
Norris tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wakizashi moves away from the strike by Norris.
Norris throws the left hand but Wakizashi avoids the punch easily.
Wakizashi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wakizashi.
Wakizashi slaps away a takedown attempt from Norris, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Wakizashi.
Wakizashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wakizashi throws a good cross that connects.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Norris scores with a head kick. Wakizashi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Norris looks winded!
Wakizashi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Norris throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wakizashi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Norris is in Wakizashi's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wakizashi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Norris is one step ahead there.
Norris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wakizashi is pulling down on Norris's head. It's preventing any offense from Norris, at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wakizashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Norris told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Norris is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wakizashi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wakizashi has escaped and now he's on top!
Wakizashi tries to stand but Norris is controlling from the bottom.

Norris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wakizashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Norris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wakizashi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Norris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wakizashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wakizashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Norris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Norris had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wakizashi defends it easily.

Wakizashi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Norris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wakizashi has managed to get both his arms back between Norris's legs - danger averted.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wakizashi - that will leave a mark!
Norris steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wakizashi. That one must have hurt.
An inside leg kick from Wakizashi misses.
Norris has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Wakizashi.
Norris gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wakizashi.
Wakizashi thuds his right hand into Norris's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Wakizashi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Norris.
Norris lands a nice shot to the body.
Norris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wakizashi's waist but Wakizashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Norris off to one side.

Wakizashi closes the distance and pushes Norris back into the cage.

Norris takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kabuto Wakizashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Norris takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Wakizashi tries to clinch but Norris is having none of it.

Norris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wakizashi's waist but Wakizashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Norris off to one side.

Wakizashi drops Norris with a big knee straight up the middle! Norris is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Norris is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wakizashi dances in with a quick combination. Norris is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Wakizashi snaps Norris's head back. Norris stumbles backwards against the cage. Wakizashi steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Norris's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Norris just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kabuto Wakizashi!
A very excited looking Kabuto Wakizashi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
