Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Pegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Pegas.
Saukko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pegas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saukko somewhat.
Left hook, right uppercut from Saukko.
Saukko lands with a shot to the body.
Pegas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Saukko. That did some damage!

Saukko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pegas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Saukko has Pegas in his guard.

Saukko has Pegas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Saukko pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pegas tumbling to the mat - Saukko dives into Pegas's guard.

It looks like Jon Pegas has been cut.
We've been told by Pegas's head coaches at Wax on Wax off 'Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saukko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Per Saukko seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Pegas tries to land a front kick but Saukko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Saukko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pegas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Pegas moves in looking to clinch but Saukko pushes him off.
Saukko shoots for a takedown but Pegas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Saukko tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Pegas takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Saukko throws a good cross that connects.
Saukko throws a lazy right hand but Pegas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Saukko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pegas as he avoids it easily.

Saukko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
