PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalu Kaodinakachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, George Gilbert!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaodinakachi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gilbert's head backwards.
Kaodinakachi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gilbert throws an overhand right that lands on Kaodinakachi's shoulder, as Kaodinakachi tries to avoid the shot.

Gilbert bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kaodinakachi has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Gilbert is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kaodinakachi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gilbert gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kaodinakachi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gilbert lets go of the hold and Kaodinakachi can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). George Gilbert!
George Gilbert was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
