Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Basit Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Basit Ali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Andre Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ali gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ali avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ali dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jones gets underhooks to prevent Ali's takedown attempt.
Jones gets through Ali's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ali fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Basit Ali. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ali.
Ali slips under a jab.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Basit Ali has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ali.

Jones cracks Ali with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jones has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ali to stand back up!

Ali is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones moves into the clinch.
Oh Ali is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones stalling.
Ali seems to have got his legs back now.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ali shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Ali keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ali displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones misses with a hook

and Ali counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ali.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ali manages to get himself to full guard.
Ali has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.

Ali is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jones drops Ali with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ali looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ali looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jones lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ali. Jones pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andre Jones!
