Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anton Viper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Smithers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Anton Viper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Smithers!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viper throws a series of punches but Smithers moves out of range.
Smithers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Smithers trying to control but Viper is working from the bottom.
Viper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Viper working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Smithers.
Smithers passes Viper's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Smithers stands up out of the half guard.
Viper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smithers slips under a jab from Viper.
Viper throws a right and a left that Smithers avoids nicely.

Smithers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Viper.
Viper dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smithers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smithers looks gassed!
Viper lands an overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Viper moves into range and connects with a jab.
Viper misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown by Smithers or perhaps it was just good defense by Viper which made him look bad.
Viper fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Smithers out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Anton Viper!
