Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laz Icarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Saint Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Icarus comes to the cage accompanied by Flying dutchman. Saint Roc is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by T.I. - Ball ft. Lil Wayne . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Icarus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Saint Roc connects with a solid leg kick.
Icarus throws a head kick but Saint Roc moves out of range.
Saint Roc has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Saint Roc fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Saint Roc throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Icarus.

and Saint Roc counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Good leg kick by Saint Roc there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Icarus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Saint Roc manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That kick from Saint Roc tenderised Icarus's leg. Icarus is trying to keep his angry face on.

Icarus has Saint Roc pressed against the cage, preventing Saint Roc from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Saint Roc can't break the clinch.
Saint Roc is trying to break the clinch but Icarus is controlling him.
Icarus using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Saint Roc has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Saint Roc breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Saint Roc tries to circle away but Icarus has him pinned against the cage.
Icarus throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Saint Roc blocks it with crossed arms.
Saint Roc is trying to push Icarus away but Icarus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Saint Roc can't find room to land a body shot as Icarus controls the action.

Icarus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Saint Roc fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Icarus manages to avoid it.

Saint Roc lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Saint Roc is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Icarus had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Saint Roc takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Icarus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Saint Roc pushes a forearm under Icarus's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Icarus is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
