Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beasty Kanne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dennis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bark at the moon. Kanne comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Cry For Me Argentina kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Beasty Kanne acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Dennis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Beasty Kanne!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dennis scores with a jab. Kanne acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kanne leaves Dennis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kanne throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kanne misses with a two punch combination.
Dennis misses with a body punch
and Kanne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dennis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kanne's waist but Kanne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dennis off to one side.
Dennis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kanne sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dennis somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge Dennis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dennis moves forwards but Kanne connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Kanne gets through Dennis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kanne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kanne throws out a leg kick but Dennis moves out of range and Kanne only half commits.
Dennis tries to bum rush Kanne with a series of wild strikes but Kanne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kanne doesn't manage to clinch there - Dennis circles away.

and Dennis counters with a stiff right hand.
Kanne looks to land a left hand but Dennis moved out of range nicely.

Kanne throws out a leg kick but Dennis moves out of range and Kanne only half commits.

Kanne darts in and clinches Dennis up against the cage.
Dennis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kanne smiles and moves away.
Dennis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kanne misses with a few strikes there.
Kanne throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dennis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kanne defends it nicely.
Dennis takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Beasty Kanne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kanne has Dennis up against the cage in a clinch.

Dennis has Kanne pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kanne manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dennis shoots in looking for a takedown. Kanne tries to sprawl out of it but Dennis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kanne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kanne misses with a hook. Dennis ducked under it nicely.
Kanne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dennis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dennis connects with a body shot.
Kanne avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kanne lands a right hook to the body.
Kanne thows a body shot but no joy.
Kanne looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dennis goes for a double leg but Kanne avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kanne continues to drive forward.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kanne as Dennis tries to tie him up.
Dennis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kanne prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dennis shoots in looking for a takedown but Kanne manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dennis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kanne jabs at Dennis's body.
Kanne lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dennis shoots in for a double leg but Kanne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kanne moves into the clinch.
Dennis is working for takedown but Kanne is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kanne lands with a left to the head.
Dennis jumps guard but Kanne stands there with Dennis around his waist. Dennis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dennis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kanne after a bit of a struggle.
Kanne can't find room to land a body shot as Dennis controls the action.

Kanne misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dennis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kanne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kanne breaks from the clinch.
Kanne lands a lovely overhand right.
Dennis fails with the takedown.
Kanne scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kanne moves into the clinch.
Dennis trying to control the position but instead, Kanne has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dennis into the cage.
The referee calls for Kanne to work.

Dennis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kanne just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dennis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kanne is pressed up against the cage. Dennis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kanne down to the mat. Kanne avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dennis misses with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kanne throws a leg kick
and Dennis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kanne has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Kanne stuffs the takedown.
Kanne tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dennis is able to avoid easily.
Kanne lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dennis fails with the takedown.

Kanne moves into the clinch.

Dennis tries to pull guard but Kanne holds him up against the cage and eventually Dennis drops back down to his feet.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Dennis goes for a takedown attempt but Kanne pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kanne motions for Dennis to come forward. Kanne throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kanne looks to land a left hand but Dennis moved out of range nicely.
Dennis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jorge Dennis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dennis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dennis fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beasty Kanne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Dennis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kanne's head.
Dennis tries for a takedown but Kanne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kanne jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kanne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kanne throws a body punch but Dennis moves out of range.
Dennis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kanne defends well and Dennis ends up having to push Kanne into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Kanne.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kanne.

Dennis tries for a takedown but Kanne manages to get underhooks.

and Kanne counters with a three punch combo that has Dennis backing up. Dennis nods at Kanne to acknowledge the strikes.

Kanne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kanne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dennis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kanne lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kanne throws a series of punches but Dennis avoids them all with ease.
Dennis fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dennis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kanne as he jumps to the side.
Kanne lands a two punch combo.


Dennis is rocked!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kanne lands a nice shot that snaps Dennis's head back.
Oh Dennis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dennis.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kanne. That's going to slow Dennis down.
Beasty Kanne seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kanne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dennis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kanne closes the distance and pushes Dennis back into the cage.
Kanne lands a nice uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kanne.
Dennis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kanne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jorge Dennis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kanne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dennis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Dennis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Kanne connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Dennis covering up! Kanne comes in with a big uppercut and Dennis goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Beasty Kanne!
Beasty Kanne seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Jorge Dennis had this to say: 'Bom, o que eu tenho a dizer é que Ice Man está de parabéns, tive alguns problemas nos meus treinamentos, mas não é desculpa ele é realmente bom e merece o cinturão.'.
