Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zuko comes to the cage accompanied by Wu Tang- Hellz Wind Staff. Penn has chosen Go To Church as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Brian Penn has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Penn!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Zuko.
Zuko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Penn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zuko.
Zuko thumps Penn with a low kick.
Zuko throws an overhand right that lands on Penn's shoulder, as Penn tries to avoid the shot.
Penn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zuko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A big left from Zuko misses.
Penn stuffs the takedown.
Penn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zuko.

and Penn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zuko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.
Zuko misses with a takedown attempt - Penn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Zuko throws a jab but it's blocked by Penn.
Zuko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A lazy left from Penn finds it's target.
Penn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Penn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Zuko goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Zuko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zuko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zuko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zuko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Penn.

My spies in Bruize Brothers inform me that Penn has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Kenshi Zuko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Penn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zuko.
Zuko shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Zuko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Zuko feints and as Penn raises his hands in defense, Zuko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenshi Zuko will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
