Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Colrane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baraka Simengwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Simengwa's choice of entrance music: Afande Sele feat Ditto - Darubini kali. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baraka Simengwa!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colrane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Simengwa moves away.
Simengwa dodges the punch combination from Colrane.
A jab from Colrane does it's job there.
Simengwa tries to close the distance and clinch but Colrane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Simengwa has closed the distance and engaged Colrane in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Colrane pulls guard effortlessly.
Colrane trying to keep a closed guard but Simengwa is proving a slippery customer.
My spies in BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym inform me that Simengwa has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Simengwa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
A lull in the action here as Simengwa stalls from top position.
Simengwa wants to take a breather but Colrane manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Simengwa.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Colrane is on top in guard.

Simengwa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Simengwa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Colrane haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Simengwa looking for a triangle here. Colrane is fighting it but it looks tight! Simengwa pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Colrane is tapping out - this one is all over!
