The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortensen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mortensen moves into the clinch.
Mortensen working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Mortensen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brown's defenses.
Mortensen lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mortensen is looking to control Brown's arms but Brown gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mortensen has his back to the cage.
Mortensen is pushing Brown up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Mortensen gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Brown jumps guard but Mortensen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brown goes for a takedown attempt but Mortensen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mortensen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mortensen is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
