Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hippie Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Mizakota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smasher comes into the arena with Who's Your Daddy - Lordi blaring out of the sound system. Mizakota has chosen Hero's Come Back!! by nobodyknows┼ as his entrance music. Kazuo Mizakota has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hippie Smasher's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hippie Smasher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuo Mizakota! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mizakota will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A nice leg kick lands there from Mizakota. Kazuo Mizakota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mizakota shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Smasher tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smasher striking off his back but it's not causing Mizakota any problems. Mizakota slips nicely into half guard. Smasher punching from the bottom.
Mizakota is pressing down on Smasher's thigh, looking to free his foot. Smasher is holding on for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mizakota in particular looking to stall. Smasher avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mizakota.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher regains full guard. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mizakota trying to control the position from guard on top but Smasher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smasher trying to keep a closed guard but Mizakota is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smasher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smasher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smasher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Smasher trying to control from half guard but Mizakota is working away. Mizakota trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mizakota actively working from the bottom here. Smasher working over Mizakota with some ground and pound. Mizakota looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Smasher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smasher is keen to just control but Mizakota is a slippery customer. Smasher lands strikes from half guard. Smasher is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Smasher with a couple of short strikes. Smasher sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Smasher has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mizakota's face.
Smasher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mizakota taking shots to the head. Smasher dominating with strikes here. Smasher looking to control but Mizakota is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mizakota tries to get back to half guard but can't. Smasher has control of Mizakota's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mizakota regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Smasher throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Smasher blocks Mizakota's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Mizakota can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Smasher looking to control and managing it successfully. A nice elbow there by Smasher. Smasher landing strikes from the mount. Smasher is landing with some decent strikes but Mizakota is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Mizakota is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Smasher working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mizakota is squirming around, avoiding Smasher's attempts to control the action. Mizakota takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hippie Smasher dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A jab from Mizakota misses. Mizakota finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mizakota slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Smasher blocks a head kick by Mizakota.
Mizakota misses with a looping right. A big left from Mizakota misses. Smasher throws a body punch but Mizakota moves out of range. Smasher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mizakota! Smasher is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mizakota can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mizakota tries to hold on but Smasher pushes him away. Smasher unloading with bombs! Smasher fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher breaks from Mizakota's wrist control and lands an elbow. Smasher putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Smasher goes for an armbar but Mizakota turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mizakota. Mizakota wants to control from the top but Smasher keeps moving. Mizakota is breathing heavily. Smasher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mizakota is looking to work some ground and pound but Smasher has wrist control. Smasher looking for a sweep. Not yet Smasher, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smasher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mizakota doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mizakota manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Smasher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mizakota manages to get himself to full guard.
Mizakota had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smasher is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mizakota Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smasher's back instead. Smasher tries to escape the position.
Smasher breaks Mizakota's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mizakota is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Smasher has his hands clasped together but Mizakota extends an breaks Smasher's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mizakota.
