Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheng Gang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Fujiwara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cheng Gang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Fujiwara!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fujiwara shoots in looking for a takedown but Gang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fujiwara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fujiwara sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gang somewhat.

Gang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fujiwara is fending him off so far but Gang persists. Nope, Fujiwara circles away and we're back to standing.
Fujiwara stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fujiwara wants it to stay on the feet.

Gang walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fujiwara.
Gang misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fujiwara.
Fujiwara shoots in looking for a takedown. Gang tries to sprawl out of it but Fujiwara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Fujiwara or perhaps it was just good defense by Gang which made him look bad.

Fujiwara is looking for a triangle but Gang pushes his legs off easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fujiwara throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fujiwara as he jumps to the side.

Fujiwara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gang avoids it really well and circles away.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gang is pressed up against the cage. Fujiwara has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gang down to the mat. Gang avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cheng Gang will probably get the nod.

Gang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cheng Gang.
I think Gang has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
