The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sharp takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gomez scores with a hook to the body. Sharp takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gomez scores with a body shot.
Sharp shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomez sprawls well. Gomez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sharp gets slowly back to his feet.
Gomez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sharp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Gomez to counter with a crisp jab.

Gomez moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Sharp goes down! Can Gomez finish him!?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sharp looks winded!
Gomez chips away with some ground and pound.

Sharp is rocked!
Gomez connects with a couple of short punches.
Sharp is still in real trouble! Can Gomez finish him?
Gomez gets to his feet and stands over Sharp, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sharp felt that one! Gomez unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sharp from any more punishment!
