The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas loads up on a big right hand but Matsuo slips the punch.
Lucas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Matsuo.
Lucas lands with a straight right. Matsuo didn't see that one coming.

Lucas drops Matsuo with a left right combo! Lucas follows him down to the ground into side control.

Matsuo is rocked!

It looks like Damian Matsuo has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lucas wants to control but Matsuo is keeping him busy.
Matsuo is still in real trouble! Can Lucas finish him?
Matsuo seems to have recovered his senses.
Matsuo tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Lucas easily slips into full mount!
Matsuo regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lucas trying to mount his opponent but Matsuo defends it.
Lucas wants to control but Matsuo is keeping him busy.
Lucas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lucas tries to pass the half guard into mount. Matsuo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Matheus Lucas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lucas scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Matsuo walks into a jab.
A lazy left from Lucas finds it's target.
Lucas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Matsuo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lucas throws a jab but it's blocked by Matsuo.
Lucas blocks a head kick by Matsuo.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Matsuo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lucas drops Matsuo with a big left hand! Matsuo is injured, injured bad! Lucas jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Matheus Lucas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
