Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Hyypia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Miodek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyypia's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Al Bowlly - Hang out the stars in Indiana. Miodek is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Radioactive. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Miodek turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miodek manages to end up in side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Miodek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyypia keeps working.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Miodek connects with a nice short shot to Hyypia's temple.

Miodek throws a strike aimed at the side of Hyypia's head but Hyypia avoids it well.
Miodek postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hyypia throws a right and a left that both miss.

A nice inside leg kick there by Miodek. That's going to slow Hyypia down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Miodek cracks Hyypia with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Miodek. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Hyypia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Miodek lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That kick from Miodek tenderised Hyypia's leg. Hyypia is trying to keep his angry face on.

Miodek cracks Hyypia with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hyypia tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Miodek pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hyypia is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
