The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gnata counters with a one-two to the body.
Gnata will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bravo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bravo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gnata after a bit of a struggle.
Bravo tries to score a body lock takedown but Gnata shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Bravo tries to work over Gnata's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bravo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bravo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bravo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gnata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gnata has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo 's legs - danger averted.
Gnata stands and throws Bravo 's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Haloti Gnata was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
In defeat, Joey Rodinerio Bravo stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm sure he applied WD-40 to his body, so i couldn't get a hold of him!'.
