The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhasevich shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ardona defends it nicely.
Mikhasevich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ardona is fending him off so far but Mikhasevich persists. Nope, Ardona circles away and we're back to standing.
Ardona stuffs the takedown.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mikhasevich is defended easily by Ardona.
Ardona lands a left and a right that send Mikhasevich crashing to the mat, dazed. Ardona thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ardona stalks Mikhasevich and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mikhasevich's face. Mikhasevich staggers backwards, shaken.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ardona tries to roll over but Mikhasevich keeps him under control.

Mikhasevich wants to work for an arm triangle but Ardona is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
