Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sal Langreck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Langreck's entrance music is Setting Sail, Coming Home - Darren Korb. A fine choice. Cormeir is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: -N- The Bay. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sal Langreck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cain Cormeir!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cormeir.
Langreck comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Langreck throws a hook but Cormeir blocks it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Langreck enables Cormeir to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Langreck manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Langreck fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cormeir manages to avoid it.

Cormeir shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cormeir showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cormeir looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Langreck with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cormeir lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like Sal Langreck has been cut.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Cormeir is taking a breather. Langreck says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Sal Langreck's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Cormeir is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Langreck is hurt! He's hurt bad - Cormeir fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Langreck from any more punishment! Congratulations to Cormeir! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Cormeir!
Cain Cormeir decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
