Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Uy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurico Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Uy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bleed It Out. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uy is looking to clinch.

Uy has Ferreira up against the cage in a clinch.
Uy is pressed up against the cage. Ferreira has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Uy down to the mat. Uy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Uy rushes Ferreira and presses him up against the cage.
Uy misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ferreira looking for a takedown.

Uy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Uy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Uy misses with a series of wild punches.
Uy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
William Uy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferreira circles away quickly and effectively.
Uy is looking to clinch but Ferreira is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uy looks to score with a jab to the body but Ferreira is just out of range.

Uy has managed to clinch.
Ferreira wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Uy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Uy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Uy misses with a body shot.

Uy moves into range and clinches up with Ferreira.

Uy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Uy lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Maurico Ferreira has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Uy throws a body punch but Ferreira moves out of range.

Uy waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Ferreira. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Ferreira to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Ferreira is rocked!

Uy content to stall in guard here.
Ferreira is still in real trouble! Can Uy finish him?

Ferreira looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Uy has picked Ferreira up and slammed him! Ferreira can't keep hold of the triangle and Uy manages to pass to side control!
Uy just content to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferreira can do anything to dispel that myth.

Uy stands up and beckons Ferreira to his feet.

Uy pushes Ferreira up against the cage in a clinch.
Uy dips a shoulder and cracks Ferreira with a mighty uppercut! Ferreira falls back against the cage and Uy unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ferreira is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Uy screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
