Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reno Raines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raines comes to the ring accompanied by The Gambler. Reno Raines has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reno Raines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raines closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Doe is not content to let Raines control the position.

Raines is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Doe defends it well.
Raines is trying to control. Doe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Raines slips a nice elbow through Doe's hands, connecting with Doe's forehead.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Doe actively working from the bottom here.
Doe is looking to improve his position.
Raines content to control rather than advance.
Raines wants to control but Doe is keeping him busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Raines sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Doe defending well though.
Doe trying to control but Raines postures up.
Raines misses with a head shot. Doe uses the momentum to regain guard.

Raines is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Doe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Doe has escaped and now he's on top!
Doe wants to control from the top but Raines keeps moving.
Doe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doe passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Raines is trying to get back to half guard.
Doe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Raines avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Doe.
Doe advances to full mount.
Doe throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Doe throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Raines because Doe loaded up on that one.

Doe is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Raines to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Raines shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raines tries to lock up and control but Doe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Raines is working to get back to half guard.

Doe is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Raines is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Doe!
John Doe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
