Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Toney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stark comes to the cage accompanied by Jay Z - Dig a Hole. The crowd seem to be enjoying Toney's choice of entrance music: Wicked. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Toney misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stark plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Stark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stark feints and then cracks Toney's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Toney down.
Stark throws a body punch but Toney moves out of range.
Stark lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like James Toney has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toney manages to avoid it.
Stark connects with an inside leg kick.

Toney looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Stark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Toney is controlling him.
Toney controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Toney stops Stark from standing up.
Toney showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

James Toney has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Toney on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Toney takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Toney gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Toney manages to pull guard.
Toney throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Toney has his foot on Stark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stark works his way back into a safe position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toney looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stark is one step ahead there.
Stark postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toney is pulling down on Stark's head to control his posture.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Toney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stark's guard.
Toney wants to pass the guard but Stark is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Toney was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Stark wants to slow Toney down by chopping away at his legs.

Toney fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stark, pushing him back against the cage.
Stark doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Toney decides to pull guard.

Toney is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stark has his hands clasped together but Toney extends and breaks Stark's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Toney.
