Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ignas Kaunas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Conde Koma!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koma has Kaunas up against the cage in a clinch.

Koma swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Koma is looking to control Kaunas's arms but Kaunas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Koma has his back to the cage.

Kaunas manages to pull guard.
Kaunas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Koma trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kaunas's guard.
Kaunas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koma is one step ahead there.
Koma is looking to stand up but Kaunas won't let him.

Koma gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Koma escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kaunas is looking to take this one to the mat.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kaunas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Koma tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaunas is in Koma's guard.
Koma is looking to stand up but Kaunas isn't so interested in that idea.

Koma wants to stand and escape but Kaunas is having none of it.

Kaunas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We're going to have a standup here because Ignas Kaunas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Kaunas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Koma is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kaunas goes for a takedown attempt but Koma pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kaunas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Koma as he jumps to the side.

Oooooh!!! Koma has knocked Kaunas down with a huge combo! Koma steps away and waves a wobbly Kaunas back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Ignas Kaunas has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Koma lands a left and a right that send Kaunas crashing to the mat, dazed. Koma thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Kaunas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Koma has closed the distance and engaged Kaunas in a clinch.
Kaunas tries to score a body lock takedown but Koma shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Koma tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kaunas's elbow.
Kaunas seems to have got his legs back now.
Koma misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Kaunas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Koma after a bit of a struggle.

Koma throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kaunas.
Kaunas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Koma circles away.

Koma clinches up with Kaunas and pushes him back against the cage.
Koma digs a right hand into Kaunas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kaunas's gas tank.

Koma rushes Kaunas and presses him up against the cage.

Kaunas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Koma gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Koma's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Good leg kick by Koma there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Conde Koma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ignas Kaunas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
