Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mihail Dmitriev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod The Iceberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rod The Iceberg will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rod The Iceberg!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! The Iceberg has knocked Dmitriev down with a huge combo! The Iceberg steps away and waves a wobbly Dmitriev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Mihail Dmitriev has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Iceberg closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Dmitriev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dmitriev shoots for a double leg takedown but The Iceberg sprawls well. He's pushed Dmitriev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dmitriev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging The Iceberg to the ground. Dmitriev is now in The Iceberg's guard.
Dmitriev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The Iceberg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dmitriev passes The Iceberg's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dmitriev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Dmitriev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Iceberg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Iceberg is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dmitriev off and has taken his back!

The Iceberg is trying to stick to Dmitriev's back but Dmitriev is turning into The Iceberg. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in The Iceberg's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dmitriev.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dmitriev leaves The Iceberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for The Iceberg. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mihail Dmitriev.
I think Dmitriev has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
