Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Ungar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I SHOT THE SHERIFF. Ungar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stu Ungar!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chong.
Ungar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Chong scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ungar in his tracks.


It looks like Stu Ungar has been cut.
Chong scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ungar swings for the body but Chong moves out of range.
Chong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chong.

Ungar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chong is looking to clinch but Ungar is avoiding it.

and Chong counters with a single leg into guard. Ungar didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ungar is looking to sweep but instead, Chong has passed into half guard.

Chong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ungar is looking to stand up but Chong isn't so interested in that idea.

Ungar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ungar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Bob Chong dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ungar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chong was well out of range. Poor timing from Ungar.
Chong with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chong throws a nice inside leg kick.
Chong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ungar sprawls well. Ungar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chong gets slowly back to his feet.
Chong lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ungar keeps working.

Chong slips a nice elbow through Ungar's hands, connecting with Ungar's forehead.
Ungar won't allow Chong to pass to mount.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chong here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Ungar wants to stand back up but Chong manages to pass into side control.
Ungar is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chong has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Chong remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Chong is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ungar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ungar tries to lock up and control but Chong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bob Chong showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Chong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
