Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lair on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lair gets a double leg takedown into Martinez's guard.
Lair stopping the sweep attempt from Martinez.
Martinez keeping moving, preventing Lair from controlling successfully.
Lair is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Martinez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Martinez working for a triangle but Lair defends it easily.
Lair pushing down on Martinez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Lair is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Martinez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lair.
Lair thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martinez's head.

Lair looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Martinez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lair working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Martinez's thigh. Martinez counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Martinez looking for a guillotine here but Lair defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lair has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Martinez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lair doesn't defend quickly enough and Martinez has managed to lock this one up! Can Lair escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Martinez on a fantastic submission victory.

Johnny Martinez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
