Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robinson Crusoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusoe shoots in but Pearson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pearson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crusoe's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crusoe is on top in guard.

Pearson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crusoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crusoe is looking for a triangle but Pearson pushes his legs off easily.

Crusoe has his foot on Pearson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pearson works his way back into a safe position though.

Pearson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crusoe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pearson has managed to get both his arms back between Crusoe's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crusoe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pearson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Crusoe wants to finish this one by submission but Pearson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Crusoe.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pearson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Crusoe lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pearson hang on?

Crusoe has control of Pearson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pearson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Crusoe wants to control the pace but Pearson is squirming around nicely.
Pearson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Crusoe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robinson Crusoe dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Crusoe shoots and misses

and Pearson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crusoe won't be happy with that.
Pearson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crusoe down.
Crusoe manages to get back to half guard.

Crusoe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
