Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bitch!!! Where you been. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Quentin Costa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Duggan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa avoids the body shot from Duggan.
Costa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Duggan defends it nicely.
Duggan swings for the body but Costa moves out of range.
Duggan moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Costa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duggan pinned against the cage. Duggan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Costa dodges the punch combination from Duggan.
Costa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Costa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Duggan tries to close the distance and clinch but Costa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duggan misses the shot to the body.
Costa cracks Duggan with an open hand slap.
Duggan throws a series of punches but Costa avoids them all with ease.
Duggan misses the shot to the body.

Duggan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Costa to score with a decent uppercut.
Costa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Duggan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Duggan misses with a few strikes there.
Costa keeps the fight on the outside.
Duggan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Duggan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Costa blocks a head kick by Duggan.
A lazy left from Costa finds it's target.
Costa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Costa throws an overhand right that lands on Duggan's shoulder, as Duggan tries to avoid the shot.
Duggan connects with an inside leg kick.
Duggan is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Costa rather than just go for the knockout.
Duggan wants to clinch up but Costa keeps it at a distance.
Costa avoids the head kick by Duggan.
A big left from Costa misses.
Nice defenses there by Duggan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Costa moves out of range of the body kick.
Duggan tries a head kick but it misses.
Duggan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Duggan scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Duggan lands a right hook to the body.
Costa dodges the punch combination from Duggan.
Duggan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Costa swats away the attempt to clinch by Duggan.
Duggan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Costa slips a jab and a cross from Duggan.
Costa misses with a few strikes there.
Duggan throws a series of punches but Costa avoids them all with ease.

A head kick misses from Duggan.
Duggan lands with a kick to the temple. Costa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Costa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Costa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Duggan is looking to regain half guard here but Costa keeps moving and retains side control.
Costa looks up at the clock and then as Duggan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Costa smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Duggan regains half guard.
Duggan is looking to improve his position.
Costa is looking to stall here but Duggan recovers full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Costa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duggan is keeping the position for now.

Duggan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Costa lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Costa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Costa connects with a couple of short punches.
Costa won't allow Duggan to get back to his feet.
Costa distracts Duggan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Costa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Costa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Costa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Duggan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Costa is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Quentin Costa will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Duggan wants to clinch but Costa slips to the side
and Costa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Duggan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jim Duggan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duggan throws a combination that misses
and Costa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Duggan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Duggan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Costa misses with a looping right.
Costa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Costa connects with a body shot.

Costa shoots in and bounces Duggan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Costa with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Costa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duggan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Costa wants to control from the top but Duggan keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Costa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Duggan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Costa pushing down on Duggan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Costa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Costa wants to pass the guard but Duggan is defending well.
Duggan wants to control but Costa is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Duggan actively working from the bottom here.
Duggan tries to kick Costa off but Costa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Costa maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Duggan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Costa has cracked it and Duggan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Costa!
