The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalomov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tatum swivels and escapes.

Tatum has Zalomov up against the cage in a clinch.

Zalomov is trying to push Tatum away but Tatum has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Zalomov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tatum is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tatum lands a nice uppercut.
Zalomov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Tatum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zalomov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zalomov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zalomov creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tatum can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zalomov throws a strike aimed at the side of Tatum's head but Tatum avoids it well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tatum rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zalomov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tatum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zalomov moves away.

and Zalomov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tatum's guard now.

Zalomov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

It looks like Drederick Tatum has been cut.

Zalomov breaks from Tatum's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Tatum is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tatum is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Zalomov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tatum can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Tatum is rocked!

The cut above Drederick Tatum's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Zalomov softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Tatum is out cold! Zalomov jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
