Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Moto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Hata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hata has chosen DJ Shadow - Stem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Moto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hata paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hata keeps the fight on the outside.
Moto tries to clinch but Hata is having none of it.
Hata drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Moto tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Moto manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hata's best efforts.
Moto looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hata seems to be working for a kimura but Moto defends the submission attempt.
Moto is looking for a sweep. Hata is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

and Hata counters by moving into the clinch.

Moto swings wildly with an uppercut but Hata uses good head movement to avoid it.
Moto scores with a knee to the head.
Hata jumps guard and drags Moto to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Moto passes into half guard.
Hata works his way to full guard. Good work.
Moto slips nicely into half guard.
Moto uses his free foot to push down on Hata's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hata.
Moto jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hata manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hata manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hata is defending against the submission attempts here by Moto.
Hata wants to control but Moto is keeping busy.
Hata tries to roll over but Moto keeps him under control.
Moto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Moto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hata gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Moto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moto is cranking Hata's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hata! He's tightened the choke and Hata is tapping out!
