Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Dameshek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Ravenal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Dameshek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kale Ravenal!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dameshek circles away from the clinch attempt

and Dameshek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ravenal's guard now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Ravenal kicks Dameshek off and gets to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Ravenal. No joy for Dameshek on that attempt.
Ravenal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dameshek stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ravenal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dameshek avoids it really well and circles away.
Dameshek takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ravenal has Dameshek up against the cage in a clinch.

Ravenal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dameshek gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Ravenal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dameshek defending well as Ravenal loads up on a big left hand.

Ravenal scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dameshek can't do much from the bottom here.
Dameshek is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Dameshek is looking for a sweep.
Ravenal trying to control the action but Dameshek is working from the bottom.

Ravenal throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dameshek works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ravenal looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dameshek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ravenal is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Dameshek looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Ravenal is nestled in close to Dameshek, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ravenal looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ravenal wants to control but Dameshek is keeping him busy.
Dameshek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dameshek regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ravenal working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Ravenal postures up.
Ravenal controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dameshek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Dameshek throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ravenal escapes and throws Dameshek's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ravenal stands up and beckons Dameshek to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dameshek enables Ravenal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dameshek manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ravenal scoring with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ravenal tries to stand but Dameshek is controlling from the bottom.

Dameshek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ravenal defends well.
Ravenal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ravenal with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kale Ravenal dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dave Dameshek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ravenal shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ravenal wants to control but Dameshek is keeping him busy.

Kale Ravenal has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dameshek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ravenal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dameshek has control of Ravenal's left arm, preventing Ravenal from doing any damage.
Ravenal throws an elbow that misses. Dameshek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ravenal's guard. Nice move by Dameshek!

Dameshek wants to control from the top but Ravenal keeps moving.
Ravenal is trying to keep Dameshek in close.
Ravenal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dameshek haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ravenal throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dameshek advances to half guard.
Ravenal trying to hold on to Dameshek's head to control him but Dameshek postures up.
Dameshek wants to pass to mount but Ravenal is defending the position.

Dameshek is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ravenal doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dameshek.

Dameshek is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dameshek seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ravenal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ravenal is trying to stand back up but Dameshek is controlling him

Ravenal is refusing to be controlled, as Dameshek sits in half guard.
Dameshek looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dameshek wants to free his trapped foot but Ravenal is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ravenal landing strikes from the bottom.
Dameshek is stalling here. Ravenal is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dameshek seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ravenal has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dameshek can't do much from the bottom here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ravenal lands an elbow.
Dameshek takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.


Dameshek is rocked!
Ravenal lands a strong strike to the head of Dameshek. That's dazed him! Ravenal looking to finish here. Dameshek is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Ravenal lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kale Ravenal!
