The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jackson is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jackson manages to mount him!

Jackson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Silva manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Silva tries to escape but Jackson is in control.

Silva is looking to get back to his feet here but Jackson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Silva's back.
Jackson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Silva.
Silva controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
