Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Padraig Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Bane!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Bane.
Murphy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bane tries to avoid it but Murphy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bane to the ground. Bane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Murphy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bane's waist but Bane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Murphy off to one side.
Bane scores with a jab to the head.
Murphy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Donk. Bane catches Murphy right on the button with a cross.
Bane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Murphy dives in and grabs Bane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bane pushes down on Murphy's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Padraig Murphy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murphy tries for a takedown but Bane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bane lands a nice hook to Murphy's body. Murphy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Bane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murphy was well out of range. Poor timing from Bane.

Bane jabs Murphy right on the nose. Murphy blinks but takes it well.
Bane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Murphy at a distance.

Bane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Murphy's head backwards.

Bane throws a body punch but Murphy moves out of range.
Bane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Murphy.
Bane is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Murphy rather than just go for the knockout.
Bane scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Oh Murphy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bane tests Murphy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bane is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Murphy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Bane stuns Murphy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lucas Bane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A jab-cross combination lands for Bane and sends Murphy crashing to the mat! Bane follows him down to the mat - Murphy regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bane tries to stand and escape but Murphy is controlling the position.
Bane is keen to just control but Murphy is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lucas Bane.
Murphy walks into a left hand.
Lucas Bane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Murphy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bane digs a good hook to Murphy's body.
Bane connects with a body shot that sends Murphy's belly button to the back.
Bane lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Murphy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bane circles away.

Bane lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bane clobbers Murphy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Murphy looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Bane darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Bane has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Murphy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bane, as that shot connected.
Bane lands with a nice body punch.
Bane throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Murphy on the side of the head.
Bane cracks Murphy with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Murphy tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bane pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Murphy is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lucas Bane!
