Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tafari Chinonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tafari Chinonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Coon!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinonso tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chinonso avoids the head kick by Coon.
Chinonso showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Coon.
Chinonso throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Coon chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Chinonso tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Coon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Coon counters with a good, hard body kick but Chinonso shrugs it off.

Coon shoots in but no luck this time.
Coon rushes Chinonso and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Chinonso is looking to control Coon's arms but Coon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chinonso has his back to the cage.
Chinonso has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Coon after a bit of a struggle.
Coon jumps into guard, dragging Chinonso to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Coon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chinonso works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tafari Chinonso will probably get the nod.
That's time! Chinonso's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Coon gets through Chinonso's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Chinonso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Chinonso has Coon pressed against the cage, preventing Coon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Chinonso has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Coon is trying to keep an underhook but Chinonso manages to get the takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chinonso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chinonso has managed to get both his arms back between Coon's legs - danger averted.

Chinonso shoots in for a double leg but Coon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Coon throws a leg kick which misses Chinonso's front leg but catches the back leg as Chinonso tries to avoid it.
Chinonso just misses with a punch to the body.
Chinonso tries to clinch but Coon moves out of range.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Coon.
Coon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Chinonso counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Coon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chinonso's guard now.
Coon passes Chinonso's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chinonso has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coon is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chinonso manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Coon on his heels. He'll look to pass Coon's guard now, I'm sure.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Chinonso stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chinonso wants it to stay on the feet.
Ty Coon seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Coon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Chinonso tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Coon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Coon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chinonso goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Coon moves away from the strike by Chinonso.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chinonso takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Coon shoots in looking for a takedown. Chinonso tries to sprawl out of it but Coon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chinonso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tafari Chinonso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Coon.
Chinonso moves in looking to clinch but Coon pushes him off.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ty Coon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Coon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
