Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Richter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benedict Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes shoots in looking for a takedown. Richter tries to sprawl out of it but Hayes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hayes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hayes lands in his opponent's guard.
Hayes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hayes scoring with some ground and pound.
Richter looking for a guillotine here but Hayes defends easily.
Richter controls Hayes momentarily but Hayes frees himself.
Hayes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Richter is keeping the position for now.
Richter tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Richter is working hard here to advance position.
Hayes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Richter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Richter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hayes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hayes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hayes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hayes wants to pass the guard but Richter is keeping the position.
Richter trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Hayes with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hayes trying to control the position from guard on top but Richter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hayes passes Richter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Richter is looking for a sweep. Hayes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hayes is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Richter tries to get to full guard but Hayes has control of the leg.
Richter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hayes scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hayes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Richter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hayes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Richter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Richter gets full guard.
Richter tries to strike from the bottom.
Richter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hayes wants to control but Richter is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Richter blocks Hayes's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Richter breaks from Hayes's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hayes working to try and regain half guard.
Hayes throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Hayes looks gassed!
Richter working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hayes turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Richter off and cradles Hayes's limp body as Richter celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). John Richter!
