PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rydolf Karel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veljko comes to the cage accompanied by Stemm - Face the pain. Karel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hail Czech. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Rydolf Karel!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veljko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Veljko's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Karel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Veljko scrambles back to his feet.
Veljko misses with a few strikes there.
Karel lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Veljko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Karel to the ground. Veljko is now in Karel's guard.

Veljko is trying to control the action in half guard but Karel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, if Veljko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters circle momentarily. Veljko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Veljko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Sinisa Veljko will probably get the nod.

Veljko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Karel keeps working.
Veljko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Well Veljko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
