Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyell Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston's entrance music is 2pac - I'm Soulja. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyell Gold!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kingston.
Gold misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gold lands with a shot to the body.
Gold misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gold fails to land the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gold.
Nate Kingston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyell Gold.
Gold misses with a double jab.
Gold shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kingston eats them both and turns towards Gold to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Nate Kingston has been cut.
Kyell Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kingston counters with a left and a right that hurts Gold! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Kingston jumps into full mount!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kingston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kingston has hold of Gold's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gold manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gold seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kingston throws some wild stikes that Gold manages to avoid easily.

Gold is looking for a sweep. Kingston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kingston seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gold does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gold seems to be working for a kimura but Kingston defends the submission attempt.

Kingston sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Gold looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kingston is trying to control but can't.
Kingston tries to kick Gold off but Gold keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kingston gets back to full guard.
Nate Kingston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kingston looking for a guillotine here but Gold defends easily.
Kingston not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gold drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kingston dives on top into guard.
Kingston trying to control the position from guard on top but Gold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gold has his foot on Kingston's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kingston works his way back into a safe position though.

Kingston wants to control from the top but Gold keeps moving.
Gold is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gold is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kingston sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gold is working for a kimura but Kingston is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kyell Gold will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Gold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gold tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard.

Gold is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kingston has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gold is looking to defend but Kingston has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gold! Kingston pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gold taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nate Kingston!
After winning the bout, Nate Kingston thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
