The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Travis wants to clinch but St Pierre slips to the side

so St Pierre counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
St Pierre 's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Travis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
St Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
St Pierre content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like St Pierre might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Georges St Pierre .
Travis wants to clinch.
Georges St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

St Pierre closes the distance and clinches.
St Pierre keeps control of Travis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
St Pierre fails to pull the fight into his guard.
St Pierre managing to block the knees to the body from Travis.

St Pierre has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Travis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

St Pierre is working for a rear naked choke. Travis is not defending it well and St Pierre has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Travis refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Travis's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
