Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dandre Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Alberto Neri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dandre Robertson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Alberto Neri! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neri throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Neri checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Neri drives through with a takedown into Robertson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Neri missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Neri tries to stand but Robertson is controlling from the bottom. Robertson controls Neri momentarily but Neri frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Neri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Neri working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Neri wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position. Robertson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Neri seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Neri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Robertson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Neri as he avoids it easily. Neri scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Robertson keeps the fight on the outside. Neri tries to close the distance and clinch but Robertson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Robertson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Neri is looking for a takedown. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Neri pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Robertson jabs at Neri's body. Neri looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Neri moves into range and clinches up with Robertson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson wants to stall.

Dandre Robertson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Alberto Neri. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Neri. Robertson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Neri.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Robertson is looking for a takedown. Robertson is breathing heavily. Robertson taking a breather. Robertson takes an elbow to the forehead. Neri is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Robertson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Robertson is trying to break free.

Robertson shoots in and drives through. Neri sprawls well. Robertson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Neri throws a head kick but Robertson moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neri is looking for a triangle but Robertson pushes his legs off easily.

Neri bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Robertson's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Robertson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Neri. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Neri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Neri postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robertson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Neri rushes Robertson and presses him up against the cage. Neri with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Robertson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Robertson tries to clinch but Neri moves out of range. Neri throws out a loose jab but Robertson uses good head movement to avoid it. Robertson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Neri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Neri thumps Robertson with a low kick. Robertson moves out of range as Neri strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Robertson as Neri shoots in. Robertson shoots in and bounces Neri off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Robertson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Neri is trying to control the position but Robertson postures up. Neri throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Robertson is looking to take a break and control but Neri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dandre Robertson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Neri rushes Robertson and presses him up against the cage. Neri gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Neri misses with a knee strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Neri throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Robertson's waist but Robertson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Neri off to one side. Robertson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Neri looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Neri is trying to improve his position. Neri taking punishment in the form of punches.

Robertson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Neri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robertson is fending him off so far but Neri persists. Nope, Robertson circles away and we're back to standing. Dandre Robertson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Alberto Neri. Neri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Robertson circles away quickly and effectively. The fight moves into the clinch position. Neri lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Neri breaks the clinch.
Robertson tries to clinch up and Neri counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Robertson wants it to stay on the feet. A jab from Robertson finds it's way through Neri's defenses. Neri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robertson as he jumps to the side. Robertson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fighters circling - Neri throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Neri misses with a wild body shot. Robertson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Neri as he avoids it easily. Robertson fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neri displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robertson. Neri clobbers Robertson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Neri scores with a kick to the body.
Robertson stuffs the takedown attempt from Neri. Neri gets slowly back to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Robertson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Neri scores with a nice body kick.
Mario Alberto Neri seems to be getting the better of the standup. Robertson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Neri throws a good cross that connects.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neri shoots for a takedown but Robertson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Robertson tries to clinch up. Neri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robertson swivels and escapes. Neri tries for a takedown but Robertson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sloppy strikes from Neri. Those never looked like landing. Mario Alberto Neri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Neri checks a leg kick. Neri chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Neri moves out of range of the body kick. Neri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Robertson circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Neri shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Neri gets off balance looking for a body kick and Robertson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Robertson. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neri jumps into guard, dragging Robertson to the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Mario Alberto Neri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Neri has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
