Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnnie Wait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meyers comes to the cage accompanied by Halloween Theme. Wait has chosen Say Hello as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnnie Wait!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wait is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Meyers.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Meyers, as that shot connected.


It looks like Johnnie Wait has been cut.

Meyers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mikey Meyers.
