The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemlos looks to land a body kick but Russo moved away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Russo.
Hemlos shoots in for a double leg but Russo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Russo is defended easily by Hemlos.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
