Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Scarpi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross McTaggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McTaggart has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarpi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McTaggart pinned against the cage. McTaggart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Scarpi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McTaggart throws a head kick but Scarpi moves out of range.

Scarpi shoots in for a takedown but McTaggart shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Scarpi clinches up with McTaggart and pushes him back against the cage.

McTaggart throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Scarpi's head.
McTaggart lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

McTaggart lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
McTaggart throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Scarpi.
Scarpi's corner calls for a 1-2. Scarpi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ross McTaggart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from McTaggart. No joy for Scarpi on that attempt.

OH! McTaggart has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Scarpi smells blood and charges in for the finish! Scarpi unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of McTaggart sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
