Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roman Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie has his takedown stuffed
and The Ripper counters with a nice uppercut.

The Ripper manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gracie on his heels. He'll look to pass Gracie's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but The Ripper is proving a slippery customer.

The Ripper is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The Ripper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The Ripper tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Gracie is looking to reverse the position.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is looking for a sweep. The Ripper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The Ripper stalling.
The Ripper is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gracie!
The Ripper is breathing heavily.

Gracie tries to buck The Ripper off but he can't manage it.
The Ripper scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gracie?
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The Ripper controlling from the full mount.
BOOM! The Ripper connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Gracie tries to hold on but The Ripper pushes him away.
The Ripper trying to control but Gracie is having none of it.
The Ripper lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gracie hang on?
The Ripper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The Ripper trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gracie is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The Ripper wants to control the pace but Gracie is squirming around nicely.
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
The Ripper unloading with bombs!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie tries to lock up and control but The Ripper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie can't escape the position.
The Ripper trying to control but he's not successful this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack The Ripper dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt
and The Ripper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The Ripper lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
The Ripper throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
The Ripper displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Gracie takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The Ripper takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Gracie scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gracie works his way into full mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Gracie wants to take The Ripper's back here but The Ripper is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Jack The Ripper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie goes for an armbar but The Ripper turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from The Ripper.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but The Ripper pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing The Ripper from controlling successfully.

The Ripper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The Ripper wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack The Ripper wasn't doing enough on the ground.

The Ripper shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The Ripper looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.

The Ripper shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gracie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gracie manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Ripper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gracie works his foot free and advances to mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

A close second round but Roman Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A punch combination from The Ripper misses.
Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The Ripper feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. The Ripper then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie shoots in and drives through. The Ripper sprawls well.
The Ripper lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Jack The Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in The Ripper's half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gracie maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! The Ripper could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gracie has cracked it and The Ripper is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gracie!
