Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurt Messer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fire Fist!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messer drops his hands momentarily and Fist takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fist ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Messer moves away.
Fist's jab looks to have found its range, popping Messer under the eye.
Fist missing with a left hand there. Messer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
No joy there for Fist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice straight punches there by Fist. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fist.
Messer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fist connects with a body shot that sends Messer's belly button to the back.
Messer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fist finds it's way round the side to connect with Messer's head.
Messer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fist.
Fist throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Messer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fist lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Kurt Messer has been cut.

Messer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Messer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fist, as that shot connected.
Good exchange - Fist coming out on top.
Fire Fist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Messer walks into a stiff left hand from Fist.
Messer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fist steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Messer.
Fist throws a series of punches but Messer moves out of range.

Messer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fist.
Fist lands a nice looking body shot.
Messer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fist lands with a hook. Messer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fist darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Messer throws a sloppy head kick and Fist moves out of range easily.
Fist lunges at Messer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Messer's hand.
Fist just misses with a punch to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Messer takes one to the chin there.
Fist jabs Messer to the body, keeping him at a distance.

A left lands for Fist.
Fist blocks a head kick by Messer.
Messer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fist to score with a decent uppercut.
Fist lands with a cross.
A big right from Fist misses.
Fist blocks a head kick by Messer.
A lazy left from Fist finds it's target.

Fist tries to keep at a distance but Messer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fist blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Fist is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fist wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Messer lands an elbow just above Fist 's eye.

Messer has Fist pressed against the cage, preventing Fist from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

With the fighters up against the cage, Messer throws an elbow but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fist is trying to break the clinch but Messer is controlling him.

Fist wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Messer has him pressed against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like Fire Fist has been cut.
Fist tries to break the clinch but Messer is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Messer lands a big right hand that drops Fist! The killer instinct kicks in and Messer finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Messer!

Kurt Messer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
