Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Lester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz rushes Lester and presses him up against the cage. Ortiz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lester gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bryan Lester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Ortiz. Ortiz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lester works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Ortiz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lester defends it easily. Ortiz looks winded! Lester sitting in guard here, content to control. Lester lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ortiz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lester has passed into half guard!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lester moves nicely into side control. Lester wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ortiz, who protects the arm well. Ortiz is looking to regain half guard here but Lester keeps moving and retains side control. Ortiz pushes Lester away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lester gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ortiz is looking for a sweep. Lester wants to control but Ortiz is keeping him busy. Ortiz is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lester trying to control the position but Ortiz is working away. Ortiz is being controlled here. Lester prevents Ortiz from escaping the position. Lester working the head and body with strikes. Lester wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ortiz, who protects the arm well. Ortiz tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lester tries to control but Ortiz wriggling away. Lester looking to control and managing it successfully. Ortiz tries to buck Lester off but he can't manage it. Lester tries to control but Ortiz wriggling away. Lester prevents Ortiz from getting the reversal. Lester is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lester is working for a guillotine from mount but Ortiz frees his head quite easily.
Ortiz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryan Lester dominated that round. That's time! Lester's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lester shoots in and bounces Ortiz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bryan Lester overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lester is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ortiz keeping moving, preventing Lester from controlling successfully. Lester has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lester got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ortiz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lester has managed to get both his arms back between Ortiz's legs - danger averted. Ortiz keeping moving, preventing Lester from controlling successfully. Ortiz looking for a guillotine here but Lester defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lester has picked Ortiz up and slammed him! Ortiz can't keep hold of the triangle and Lester manages to pass to side control! Ortiz is breathing heavily. Ortiz is trying to work for a sweep but Lester has mounted him! Lester forces the positional change into back control. Ortiz is in bad spot here.
Ortiz trying to get back to his feet but Lester is in full control for now. Lester has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ortiz's body.

Lester is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

This could be all over... yep, Ortiz is tapping out! Submission win for Lester.
