Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Choke Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Cube (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes into the arena with Intro - DMX blaring out of the sound system. Cube has chosen Bow Down as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Cube misses its intended target.
Cube throws a right and a left that Liddell avoids nicely.
Cube lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Liddell at a distance.
Cube doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.
Cube throws a poor cross that misses
and Liddell counters with a left and a right that stings Cube.
Cube shoots in for a takedown but Liddell shows good takedown defense.
Liddell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cube will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cube throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Liddell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Cube drives through and clinches with Liddell against the cage.
Cube is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Liddell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Choke Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ice Cube.

Liddell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cube throws a looping overhand right but Liddell ducks down to avoid it.
Cube cracks Liddell with a good jab.
Cube shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
Cube shoots in looking for a takedown. Liddell tries to sprawl out of it but Cube keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liddell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Liddell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cube tries to avoid it but Liddell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cube to the ground. Cube escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Liddell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cube.
Liddell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Cube shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Liddell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Choke Liddell will probably get the nod.

Liddell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cube's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Cube has one foot on Liddell's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Cube throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liddell was covering up waiting for the punch and Cube finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Liddell wants to sweep here but Cube controlling him for the moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Liddell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Choke Liddell.
