The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mykaluskas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Hero. No joy for Mykaluskas on that attempt.
Mykaluskas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mykaluskas wants to clinch up but Hero keeps it at a distance.
Hero swinging wildly here.
Hero leaves Mykaluskas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mykaluskas circles away.
Hero has Mykaluskas up against the cage in a clinch.
Hero manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Hero is looking to sinch up a triangle. Mykaluskas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hero's body to avoid the submission. Hero has instead reached around Mykaluskas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hero arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hometown Hero!
Our winner, Hometown Hero, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
