The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - St Pierre throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
St Pierre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mondello.
Mondello takes a swing at St Pierre's ribcage but misses.
Mondello lands a slapping body shot.
Mondello misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from St Pierre.
St Pierre swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mondello connects with a jab.

It looks like George St Pierre has been cut.

Mondello connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
St Pierre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mondello sprawls well. Mondello wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.
St Pierre swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

St Pierre throws a body punch but Mondello moves out of range.
St Pierre takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mondello ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mondello digs a good body shot into St Pierre's ribs.

A looping hook to the body misses from St Pierre. Mondello does a little dance to reset his feet.
St Pierre needs to keep his hands up - Mondello had a free shot at his head there.
St Pierre takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
St Pierre looks winded!
Mondello swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by St Pierre.
St Pierre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mondello moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mondello lands a left and a right that send St Pierre crashing to the mat, dazed. Mondello thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

St Pierre is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mondello thuds a left hand into St Pierre's body.
St Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Mondello finish him?
St Pierre is aggressively charging in as Mondello backs up avoiding any damage. Mondello tosses out a jab and St Pierre runs right into it face first! St Pierre is out cold! Mondello dropped down on all fours and is barking in St Pierre's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
